I am currently undertaking a Communications degree at university and am constantly awed by the new technology and opportunities available through online media forms.
We are living in an exciting digital age where masses of information and entertainment are available and surprisingly, often free.
Freedom of the press is more achievable as we are no longer limited by giant news corporations who can dictate what we see and hear. Blogging has created a new wave of ‘pyjama journalists’, (freelance journalists, academics and every day folk) who discuss important and (sometimes) trivial issues.
We are no longer divided into producer and consumer categories, instead a new term ‘prosumers’ has been coined in which we are both the creators and audience of material.
This web revolution is not without faults but it has many advantages and Beach & Bay Realty look forward to embracing new forms of media as we become “Generation C”. Where C stands for the mass amount of CONTENT available. The ability to COLLABORATE, COMMUNICATE, CONNECT and form COMMUNITIES.













Thanks Rachael for keeping me up to date. Until today I had never heard of Generation C or Pyjama Journalists but I love the concept.
